Shipping

Your order will be packaged with 100% recycled and recyclable materials. We use packing tape which is home compostable and recyclable. Every order is Carbon Offset (yes, we know carbon offsetting is far from perfect. It's just one of the many things we do to try to lessen any negative impact on the climate). Domestic (USA) orders generally ship USPS or UPS. You should receive tracking information once your parcel has been scanned in by the carrier. We try to ship within 5 business days, but it can be longer during super busy seasons. You can stay up-to-date via the Where's My Order page.

International orders will ship from a variety of providers, including DHL and GlobalPost, depending on which option is the most affordable. We ship worldwide, but sometimes the costs are outrageous! The system won't show you all available options, and it will look like UPS Standard is the cheapest. In the end, it's the most expensive because of the brokerage fees, etc. you're expected to pay on delivery. Please select any of the carrier options. We will find the best option available (likely GlobalPost Intl), and email you. If we're able to refund any part of your shipping total, we will! If it ends up being more, you'll have the opportunity to cancel the order and we'll refund you.

Please be absolutely sure you enter your shipping address correctly! And make sure you enter an email address you actually use so we can send you tracking info, and contact you if there are any issues.

Always double-check your address as Simple Alchemy Co is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect, closed or undeliverable address. If your package cannot be delivered due to an incorrect/undeliverable address or business closure and is "returned to sender," Simple Alchemy Co is not responsible for any shipping charges or fees. We're happy to ship your package back to a different address, but you will be asked to cover costs for reshipment.

Simple Alchemy Co is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Once a parcel is shipped, it's out of our hands. You will need to file a claim, and/or speak to building management depending on your living situation. Be sure to download the Shop app as directed at checkout so you can track your order.

Local Porch Pick-Up

We have friends in downtown Newberg who graciously let us use their front porch for local pick-up orders, as our location is too remote and difficult to get to. This option is great for Newberg and Newberg-adjacent customers who can pick up promptly once notified. The porch is covered, but exposure to temperature changes and moisture can effect the consistency of our products. The driveway and steps are steep, so we advise shipping if you have any mobility issues.

Due to there being a number of customers who've selected local pick-up but have either picked up super late, or haven't picked up at all, we've had to implement a deadline. This is for your benefit, as leaving products sitting outside for long periods of time isn't good for them. We also don't want anything sitting on our friends' porch for longer than necessary. If you are unable to pick up within 5 business days after being notified, you will be charged for shipping as well as a restocking fee. We will retrieve your order, and invoice you. Once you've paid, your order will be shipped to the address on file.

Returns

We’re pretty sure you will fall in love with your products, but we want all our customers to be 100% satisfied. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to arrange a refund, or exchange for a different item. We are unable to accept returns of any skincare products, or soaps of any kind.

Variations

We make everything by hand using natural ingredients. Variations in appearance are to be expected, and do not have any impact on quality or performance. 

Soaps: we use all natural colorants (no synthetic micas or dyes), so differences in color may occur. If you ever see little orange spots on your soap, that's just oxidization and is no cause for concern.

Balms + Deodorants: while we do our absolute best to formulate our recipes to be able to withstand heat and temperature fluctuations, we can't control the weather. Products may soften in high heat, and the consistency can alter as it cools back down. Relief Balm in particular can become grainy in texture if the temperature swings too much. This does not negatively impact quality or performance.
